A company can, after a notification to the Danish Medicines Agency, use their obligatory stock of a drug on package-level to supply the Danish market in the following circumstances
1) The use of the stock is for a maximum period of 3 months,
2) The company can meet the demand in the period notified, and
3) The company is able to restock at the latest 3 months after the company again can supply the Danish market without using the obligatory stock.
The obligatory stock is suspended if the company notify The Danish Medicines Medicines Agency of their use of stock
The suspension enters into force when The Danish Medicines Agency recieves the notification and until the end date reported, although at a maximum of 3 months.
The obligatory stock needs to be restocked at the latest 3 months after the end date of the suspension.
